Camp Bow Wow®, North America's premier doggy day care and overnight boarding franchise, in conjunction with Home Buddies, is pleased to announce Cupids & Canines Casino Night 2010, benefitting the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society, and Bow Wow Buddies.

Cupids & Canines Casino Night will feature free dessert and coffee, a chance auction for great prizes, casino tables and trivia contests where you can win more chances, dogs for adoption from local shelters, and the rare opportunity to play hundreds of classic & modern pinball machines. You can also meet Pinky and Trixie, cover dogs of the Western Pennsylvania Humane Association's 2009 calendar.

The chance auction will include a 3-night trip for two to Las Vegas, donated by Doreen Valentine-Martin of Camp Bow Wow Pittsburgh South (includes round-trip airfare, hotel stay, and choice of show; click here for more details and restrictions).

You can win chance auction entries by playing the casino tables. With your admission ticket, you will receive $20,000 in "play money", which can be used at the casino tables or to enter the trivia contest. Each $5,000 in play money buys one ticket for the chance auction. If you want more play money, you can buy $10,000 for $10 real money, or $40,000 for $30. Remember, all proceeds go to our charities! (You are also welcome to simply convert your play money directly into chance auction tickets.)

We will have a detailed list of prizes available soon! Previous years' auctions have included autographed merchandise from the Steelers and the Penguins, a Behind the Scenes Tour Group at the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium, and many other exciting prizes!

Doors at the PAPA World Headquarters, located in Scott Township, will open at 7pm (tournament players can arrive at 11am); the casino games will run until 10pm, when we will hold the chance auction drawings. Tickets are being sold at all Pittsburgh-area Camp Bow Wow locations, and will also be available at the door. Tickets are also available online!

New this year! - We will have a free parking shuttle available! This should alleviate the severe shortage of available parking when the event gets really busy. Click here for directions to the parking lot where the shuttle will be available to pick you up.

PAPA features a huge, unique collection of pinball machines (as well as video games, dance games, etc), otherwise only available to the public for one weekend a year. Returning from last year, we will be running an official pinball tournament during this event. Each admission ticket will include one non-transferable entry into the tournament; additional entries can be purchased for $10 each. Pinball fans take note - the PAPA pinball collection is among the largest in the world, and is specifically tailored to fun, competitive play. Everyone is welcome to stay and play pinball late into the night - and all tokens bought to play machines go towards charity!

50% of the proceeds will benefit Bow Wow Buddies, a foundation that was set up to contribute to canine cancer research, to work with individual Camp Bow Wow locations to promote foster dog adoptions, and to rescue dogs in countries where they are treated horribly. Another 50% will go to the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society.
